More from Manhattan.

Impromptu decisions sometimes turn out to be the best ones.
On a last minute whim while in SF, Migs and I booked flights and in less than a day, were stepping out of a yellow cab into the heart (and heat) of a NY summer night. Minutes later, with an izakaya feast in front of us, we cheersed our Asahis.
These pics show an odd skew of the trip. They seem a lot grittier than the memories I have from wandering about or from the typical associations I’d have with the place — I’ll post those in the next round.
Back to this set, most of them are taken from the top of a red bus tour. Pro-tip for the future, attempting to cram half of Manhattan into a 4 hour bus trip will be met with limited success. Also, 3 days here is not nearly enough!
